The driest December was in 1963 when only 10.1mm of rain fell, followed by 1988 (19.8mm) and 2004 (22mm).

1974 had the highest average temperature for December (10.5°C), followed by 1988 (10°C) and 1994 (9.5°C).

The coldest December was in 1981, with an average maximum temperature of 2.8°C, followed by 1976 (4.1°C) and 1995 (4.4°C).
